Newsletter 4 of 4

This is our final newsletter from the Project, In Our Garden. We hope you’ve enjoyed finding out more about the work we do and where the lanterns that where in your garden went next.

As part of the In Our Garden project, we made two new lanterns that will help us gain new work in the future. We will be seeking funding to bring them back to your garden, fingers crossed for that!

We saw some pictures of Sarah’s barn owl being made in Newsletter 2.

This is what Jo says...

Harriet the bear
It was made in January in my kitchen. The barn was really too cold for me to make there and, with the restrictions of Covid, I decided making the bear at home was my only option. The family enjoyed seeing the bear develop from an unrecognisable structure of sticks, then taking on the form of a bear and finally seeing a character emerge. At this point the family‘s patience began to run out and the kitchen became too chaotic. It was no longer any fun trying to navigate around the bear to the fridge, the sink and the back door! Unfortunately at this point, I still had three coverings of tissue to do and each layer took five hours and a night to dry! The bear is still at home but she’s been moved out of the kitchen. Her name is Harriet, after my Mum.
