We hope you enjoyed having the lanterns at your care home. It was our pleasure to bring them to you. We wanted to share some more information and photos about the project so you can see the lanterns in the other care homes participating in our project. Thank you for writing in the comments book, it was lovely to be able to connect with you in this way and I hope you enjoy it a a souvenir of the project… you can stick these newsletters in it.
All eight In Our Garden care homes received a box of materials in order to make a star lantern with residents.
Here’s are some photos of the wonderful stars that were made. We hope you enjoy using them and look to them as a light guiding us towards the Spring when the longer sunnier days will return.
Here’s a selection of photos from our Lantern House Lanterns when we installed them in Care home gardens.
We enjoyed setting up and taking down the lanterns. They are currently back in their home in a barn on a farm called Applesham Farm, Coombes, near Steyning. We have given them a good wash and dry after 2 weeks in wet and windy weather. Next the lanterns are going out to Leonardslee Gardens, near Horsham for Leonardslee Illuminated lantern trail in December.
