The Lantern House was awarded an Arts Council National Lottery Project Grant.
We took a selection of our lanterns and placed them in the gardens of care homes in October and November 2020 during the 2nd Covid-19 Lockdown.
We designed the project to be Covid safe and worked virtually with staff by sending them a lantern pack so each care home could make their own star lantern with residents that hung inside the front window of their care home until Spring 2021.
A bright hope, a little light for the future and while our lanterns were in their gardens, an entertainment and a talking point.
We also sent postcards of the lanterns so that staff and residents can share their experience with loved ones and neighbours.
We pulled together a trusted team of professionals to help deliver the project.
